Oriental Medicine

Oriental medicine, also often called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is the oldest, continually practiced form of medicine in the world. It consists of a complex system of theory, diagnostic and treatment strategies. Oriental medicine is comprised of several modalities, which include acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, cupping and manual therapies.  For more info, click here

Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine, sterile, one-time use needles into specific points on the skin to adjust and regulate the flow of energy in the body. Gentle physiological responses occur, which create the circumstances for the body and mind to re-balance, release pain and heal. Dawn Balusik primarily practices the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) style of acupuncture. For more info, click here.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Traditional Chinese herbal medicine consists of over 5000 natural substances derived from plant, animal and mineral sources. When prescribed according to an accurate Chinese medical diagnosis, Chinese herbal medicine takes a leading role in restoring health. Dawn's on-site herbal pharmacy is stocked with the highest quality herbal formulas that are American-made, free of endangered species, and primarily vegetarian. Healthy nutrition provides the energy and substance which nourishes, heals and sustains the body. Oriental medicine has long understood that the quality of the diet is integral to the quality of one's health. Dawn Balusik has published several articles on nutrition, and is a proponent of a whole-food, primarily plant-based diet, combined with Oriental nutritional principles, for optimal health.
