Welcome! I am Dr. Dawn Potter-Balusik. Since 2004 I have been providing natural solutions to a wide variety of health concerns including pain conditions of all types, women’s health, fertility, stress & anxiety, and oncology support. It is my joy to help people regain and maintain vibrant health using acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, manual therapies and whole-food nutrition.
Oriental medicine is a system of natural health care that is the oldest, continually practiced form of medicine in the world. It consists of a complex system of diagnostic & treatment strategies that are as valuable today as ever.
Acupuncture is a time-honored method of treatment in Oriental medicine. Dawn uses acupuncture to gently restore balance to the body’s vital energies, which stimulates healing and promotes optimal well-being.
Manual therapies are another important modality of Oriental medicine, which Dawn may incorporate into acupuncture treatments. These can include acupressure, massage, cupping and gua sha.
One of the most powerful modalities of Oriental medicine is nutrition. It is vital to any healing endeavor. Dawn will make specific nutritional recommendations to help you meet your health goals.
Learning self-care skills is extremely valuable. Self-care is distinct from escapism or indulgence. It is treating ourselves the same way we would treat our most precious loved-one, on physical, mental and emotional levels.
*One year after having total knee replacement I was still experiencing pain. This was affecting my sleep and my ability to carry out day to day activities. I had followed all of the recommended rehabilitation therapy and drug treatment and still not received any relief.
At this point is when I reached out to Dawn to see what options could be afforded by acupuncture. After 4 weeks I was seeing improvements in mobility, reduction in pain, reduction in anxiety related to the pain and improved sleep. I continue to receive treatment once a month. I have drastic improvement.
There has been drastic improvement in my lifestyle, allowing me to return to my normal activities.

*In October of 2006, I was in a car accident and suffered 2 herniated discs in my lower lumbar region. I had been trying for years to get rid of the lower back pain that I was suffering from but to no avail.
*After going through many miscarriages, we went to an infertility specialist. All the numerous tests we did were inconclusive and they couldn’t find out what had been causing the early miscarriages.
